eyeCatchの画像としてjpgを使いたい

eyeCatchに表示する画像の形式として、jpg(jpeg)を使いたい。
標準ではpngのみです。
このサイトではeyeCatchで「header」を使っているので
「wp-content/themes/wp.vicuna.ext/style-smartCanvas/module/mod_eyeCatch-header.css」
を編集しました。
background-image: url(../images/eyeCatch/header.png);
→ background-image: url(../images/eyeCatch/header.jpg);
